Oklahoma

On the road again, just can't wait to get on the road again. This time we were heading to Oklahoma to a Fritts/Calico Family reunion in Tahlequah. I had never been there before and it had been over 15 years since Mommy was there. Daddy didn't go with us, he stayed home to work and clean the house. Grandma and Grandpa Raschke and Domino came too!

We left on Thursday evening and drove straight through. Grandma and Grandpa thought it would be better for me to sleep, HA, I proved them wrong. I stayed awake from 1-4:30 a.m. I was really good and just talked and watched movies until I fell back asleep. We got to ReRe's house around 7:30 a.m. Friday and visited with everyone. My Mimi and Papa were there and so were Aunt Shirley and her dog Skipper (who I called Flipper) and of course cousin Shawn and Aunt ReRe.
Check out ReRe's hummingbirds, she has tons, and they are so fun to watch.

ReRe has about 50 acres of land/woods/water. After we had some breakfast and visited for a bit, Grandpa gave Mommy and I a tour on the "bolf" cart to go look for deer and other animals. We didn't see anything, but I wasn't quiet either.

Then I went out again with Grandma and Grandpa and fell asleep.

Mommy came and took a nap with me. When we woke up, more family was there. Uncle Norwood, Aunt Betty, cousins Kim and John, Aunt Maxine, and Uncle Arther. The adults played cards while I played cars and blocks and ran around with cousin Shawn and the dogs.

Look what I found on ReRe's porch.

Saturday was a big day. We had a fish fry and lots more cousins and other relatives came over. I think there were close to 60 people in all. It also rained most of the day from Hurricane Ike. We couldn't play outside but we had lots of fun inside.

Sunday was reunion day. There were over 100 people there and we didn't know most of them. I got to meet some of them though. We ate, had a raffle, and played. Afterwards, Grandpa took me to the creek to look for crawdads like he used too. The water was pretty high and moving pretty quickly so we didn't catch any, but we did see some. Mommy's camera battery was low so she didn't get any pictures of the creek.

Mommy thought this sign was funny.

Monday everybody was heading out of town except for us, Mimi and Papa, and Aunt Shirley. Mimi and ReRe made biscuits and gravy-our favorite. We just hung around ReRe's house, playing cards, going out on the cart (again we didn't see anything), and visiting before our long trip home.

See where I had to sleep-just kidding, I thought it was fun to climb in and out of Domino's cage

Tuesday morning we headed out for home. We stopped by my Great-Great-Grannies old house for a quick picture. Mommy was there when she was younger than me. It was a long trip but we had lots of fun.

Are we there yet?
