Oklahoma!

Where the wind comes sweepin' down the plain...

Mommy, Bama, Bumpah, and I went on a road trip to Oklahoma. We went to visit Aunt Marie and Shawn and celebrate the Calico/Fritts 25th reunion.

Here I am on the ride down to Oklahoma, I was practicing my texting skills

Aunt Re has tons of hummingbirds on her back porch. Bama and I sat on the swing to watch them.

This is my great-great grandparents house in Tahlequah. It was recently sold for $13,000.

Here is where my Great-Great Grandma Gretchen and my Great-Great Grandpa Henry "Butch" Fritts are buried. Mommy had never been there and wanted to see it.

Mimi and Papa were in Oklahoma too!

Shawn and I were great pals.

Aunt Re's neighbor Amara was really nice to me, she played with me and helped me walk.

She also let me play with her dogs Hawkeye and Sadie. When I would see them, I would clap my hands for them to come to me and shout to them. Amara also has chickens, I would screech at them when they crowed.

They have a Polaris there too, Bumpah took us for a ride. Don't worry, we wore our seatbelts and drove really, really slowly.

We went to the reunion on Sunday. I ate a yummy meal of fried chicken, watermelon, and chocolate cake. This was the 25th reunion of the Calico/Fritts family, I met lots of relatives I didn't know I had.

I wanted Bumpah to take me on more rides, I kept hollering at him to let me turn the key and press buttons, but he just wouldn't let me.

Here is my Aunt Re and my Mimi. They are twins!

Some of the family on Aunt Re's back porch. Some others were down at the pond having a fishing contest. My cousin Little Jerry caught over 20 fish!

Tahlequah is a large Cherokee Indian area. We did a little sightseeing while we were there. We went to the Cherokee History Center and walked around a bit. We also bought Daddy and Beckett some souvenirs.

On our way back to Indiana, we stopped at the "Throwed Rolls" restaurant called Lamberts. We ate with Crazy Uncle Don and cousin Greggy (he was my buddy all trip). There was so much food to eat and people to flirt with, somebody even gave me a balloon.

We also saw this cool McDonalds over the road, we took this picture for you Beckett!
I am so happy we got to make the trip to Tahlequah to see my family. I had a great time visiting and playing and meeting family.
